Gabriel Connor stands out as a legendary figure in the rock world, best known as the lead singer and bassist for one of the most notorious Los Angeles bands, Red Devil Vortex.

Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Gabriel’s destiny was forged at the age of 8 when the electrifying sound of KISS ignited his passion for rock. Influenced by legendary bands like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Guns N’ Roses, he set his sights on becoming a professional musician, dedicating his early teenage years to mastering his craft. By 12, he was already a force on the stage, performing with his first band and then with other local acts throughout his teenage years, conquering his hometown’s music scene.

At 16, Gabriel founded Livin Garden, releasing two studio albums and sharing stages with metal titans such as Black Label Society, Blind Guardian, and Circle II Circle. Their success spanned Brazil and the USA, making them one of the few bands to break out of their local roots.

In 2015, Gabriel and his bandmates sought new horizons in Los Angeles, California, but their journey took an unexpected turn when Livin Garden disbanded. Rising from the ashes, Gabriel formed Red Devil Vortex in 2016. Blending metal with electronic, hard rock, goth, chaotic noises, and powerful hooks, Red Devil Vortex is described as a “wall of sound” by those who’ve witnessed them live. Their debut EP, “Something Has To Die,” released in May 2018, stormed the US Billboard charts, hitting No. 16 on the Heatseekers Chart and No. 49 on the Independent Albums Chart.

With the addition of guitar virtuoso Luis Kalil, Red Devil Vortex unleashed the “Dark Secrets” EP in 2022, featuring the critically acclaimed single “Psycho,” followed by the live album “RDV’s In Town,” recorded at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood.

In 2023, they released their self-titled full-length studio album, featuring the singles “Open The Gates,” “Walking The Wire,” and “More Luck Than Brains,” with Luis Kalil’s guitar solo on the latter being elected as the 3rd best solo of 2023 by Guitar World Magazine. The band embarked on a US tour supporting Doyle (The Misfits) in 2023 and 2024. With over 2.1 million Spotify streams, Red Devil Vortex continues to conquer new audiences at every step they take.

Gabriel Connor is the mind behind the visual concept of Red Devil Vortex, creating most of its videos and graphic designs along with stage outfits and props, a talent that led him to create his own video and design company, Undaunted Media.
